Book a call with Duncan, your personal trainer

On the call, we discuss what it is you want to achieve, whether it’s preparing for a forthcoming event, weight reduction, or just wanting to start to get more physically active. I will then talk through the best way of achieving your desired goal. At the end of the call, if you want my help we’ll arrange a time to start the training program.

Sign up to start your journey

We jump on a Teams Call, lasting up to one hour and go through your physical activity history, and a medical questionnaire and set a practical assessment to assess your range of mobility and current strength. We dive into more detail about what you want to achieve, strength & Conditioning for a forthcoming event, general strength and flexibility improvement for your favourite sports or pastimes, and weight reduction.

We’ll design a bespoke plan to help reach your goals

Based on the answers you provide and the type of exercise you enjoy, I will create a 12-week programme of Nutritional Suggestions and Physical Training for you to follow. It includes videos demonstrating the correct technique, number of sets and repetitions to perform. Every week you will be able to book a video call to assess your progress. Every 4 weeks we will test for improvements and adjust accordingly.

A personalised 1-2-1 assessment including Body Mass Index assessment and identification of correct daily calorific intake.

Body Audit

Flexibility and strength testing to establish your baseline so we know where your starting point is.

Goal Setting

We provide an in-depth discussion on what you want to achieve and we set your goals together.

Diet

We assess your current diet so that we can produce a set of dietary guides for you to follow to get the right ‘fuel’ to start improving your performance.

Support

A personal training programme with realistic and achievable measured targets with full support.

Weekly Calls

Weekly video check-ins with your personal trainer Duncan to monitor your nutrition, sleep and training performance to keep you on track.

Practice Videos

Each exercise video you receive is specifically detailed for correct performance – no a standard library videos here.

Aftercare

We won’t leave you on your own. You’ll get regular physical testing and support to help you reach your training goals.

I’m Duncan, your certified personal trainer

I’m a Level 3, CIMSPA Registered Personal Trainer (CIMSPA – the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector). I’m also an International Mountain Leader and a member of the British Association of International Mountain Leaders

I’ve always been very active, but several years ago, after some injury flare-ups and further surgery, from my military service, I was forced to stop work. I could have just said, “Hey, you’re done, you’re in your mid-fifties, it’s time to slow down, take it easy”. But that is not and NEVER has been my attitude or approach to things.

So I started a journey to regain my mobility. adapt my approach to health and fitness and get outside again. It has been a long and sometimes painful journey, but I’ve overcome a lot of obstacles and learned a lot too. Part of that learning was to become a certified personal trainer so I could pass on that knowledge to others.
